Different Sock Choices

October 24th, 2008 at 05:27 am

I was just at walmart yesterday. I like to buy multiples of the same sock, so Pairring dont really take any of my time. I have a set color,or type, for each child. My daughter like anklets, my baby uses same as I do, no shows, My sons wear crew, one black and one gray. I bought 3 packs each for each person before school started. I noticed yesterday, that the jerzees brand I bought are still 4 dollars a 6pk. I know what belongs to who and washing 20 socks, all i gotta do to pair is really type or color as a whole, Not like those packs of ten a different color for each pair. That perverbial missing sock dont bother me, when they are all the same color for each person. I and baby use no shows, because of our sensitive skin, and Im diabetic, when socks leave marks, its not good. I prefer to keep my tootsies for the long haul, so i do all i can to pamper them. Even in the shower, I stop the drain, so they get a good soak while im showering. I wear no shows to not cut off circulation. I dry my feet after bath/shower immediatly. I also soak feet one or two times a week. I do have a soaker, but most of the time its alot of trouble to clean and clean after. So i went to dollar store and bought the thing you use in sink for washing dishes(dishpan i believe its called). Alot easier to tote and clean up. All tips for Diabetics. Regular socks mark up my baby too w/in ten minutes. So I buy her no shows as well.

Family Fun under 200.00 outdoors

Walmart sells pools at set prices each year. up to 999.00. The 149.00 is probably your best deal. It changes size each year! Be careful there! Its half foot different either side, depth or width. One year it was 14ft wide next year 14 1/2ft wide. The difference being, the filters and all will be different. Your best bet when buying it, is buying extra packs of filters, cause they wont be available the next year, but maybe will year after that. I bought the 149.00 pool. I have used it for 3 years. I bought one year b4 that one, and found out no parts available for that size the next year, which is why i reccommend extras purchases when you buy it in that same season and stuff runs out and they dont reorder for that season so get all you can at that moment. Or if you can find a good deal on a real pools filter system that always has filters in stock, then i would reccommend doing that. My friends in michigan did that and they never had to use all those chemicals that i have had too cause of the cheap plastic, basically disposable filter system that comes with these. If you can get a real filtering system, then i highly reccomend it and recommend this fill as it goes pool. No liner replacements, just fill ring with air and fill pool with water. If you have to replace a liner, it costs what this pool costs, and as i stated, ive used my second one for 3 years already. So its been cheaper then maintanance on a real pool, and its put away in a tote in the garage til the next year. No worrys about winter damage.
My kids love the pool and its 4 1/2 ft deep, perfect for my younger children and still fun for the older ones. Plus i have the 2 ladders now from both pools. I buy a blow up ring pool now for at the ladder to wash thier feet, because, my dog loves the plastic pool from walmart for 8 dollars, she keeps cool and clean using it every day in the summer. Its also helped keep the flys off her ears, so its all good. Id spend the other 50 of the 200 i posted on filters if you plan on using the filtering system that comes with the pools. The pool set comes with a set of chemicals also, so dont buy any of that, thats enough for the season. It also comes with a floating device for the chemicals. All you need are toys, foot washer item, screen handle for leaf removal and EXTRA FILTERS.lol. Dollar tree is great for toys too. I bought the rings at walmart though for 1.88 each, they are bigger and stronger, then the ones at the dollar tree. As you can see in the pic posted here, the neon are walmart 1.88 specials and the tire is a dollar tree special my neighbor bought for his daughter. Theres a size difference and Ive used mine for those 3 years, and hes replaced his at least one time a season. When Darien was younger, and scared of the water, We were camping at KOA nearby and in thier store, they had a ring with an x of plastic w/in the circle, like a seat. He loves it, I paid 4.99 at koa for this item. If it was stocked at our KOA, then its a general item you would find at any of them. Ill enclose a picture of it too, so you know what your looking for. Everything else I bought at the Dollar Tree, rings, sinking items, squiter animals, goggels, pool basketball, etc...

Family Fun INDOOR/OUTDOOR 150.00

They have those air up bouncys, that used to be available thru rental agencys only, for 99 dollars at walmart. They are like 4x4 feet. So it easily can be indoor or outdoor. You can get bigger, but it costs alot more. That by itself is hours for years of fun!

To Make it even more exciting, You could buy those big balls at walmart, 2 for 5.00, and toss them in there, about 10 balls is alot of fun.

You could also buy a box of those balls like they use in playlands, a box of 100 different colors, 25.00.

Now that my Kids are older, I have took it to my Church for all the younger kids to enjoy.

Family Fun outdoor 150.00

For at home fun for 150.00.
outdoor--trampoline.
For older kids, you can also put a sprinkler underneath it for added fun. It can be a little dangerous for younger kids, I do this for my teens. When the pool has been up, they still chose to do this instead. Great exercize! great fun! My kids sleep better and easier after an afternoon on the trampoline, with or w/o water added.

Wine Rack

October 24th, 2008 at 02:12 am

Ok I am not a drinker. I have wine racks cause they look kewl and have other purposes. Ill be looking for more at yard sales this next year too.

My large one holds 13 bottles. I use this one in the kitchen for the flavored water bottles. They take one off and put it in fridge, then when that one is empty, they repeat and when its half empty, i buy more, 2 for a 1 dollar at dollar general. 59 cents each at walmart.

My small one hold 5. I use my always save coffee jars on this one. I say always save, because, they are longer then the standard 8 oz jar. Look at your available coffee jars(instant) or tea even, for the tallest jar. I save them, wash them out and dry, then i can use them for various things.
My daughter can sort hair things by color. All Kids can sort pencils, markers, crayons, etc...
Then you can write on lid, what is inside the jar.

It also reduces waste, its its own recycling system!
